It is with deep regret that I inform you of the passing of Professor David Dalgleish. Prof. Dalgleish taught in the Electrical Engineering Technology department.
Spring Garden College, located in Philadelphia, PA, was the oldest private technology school in the United States when it closed its doors in the early 1990′s. Unfortunately, most of the school records and property are gone.
The school went bankrupt a few years after purchasing the campus of the Pennsylvania School for the Deaf on Germantown Avenue, near the Mermaid Lane site. At the time school enrollment was declining and the school could not maintain financial viability.
